Greater Kruger Environmental Protection Foundation (GKEPF) was founded in response to the growing numbers of rhinos and other endangered animals being killed by poachers in the Greater Kruger region of South Africa. GKEPF seeks to create a comprehensive evaluation tool to measure the efficiency of rhino protection initiatives and their relevance throughout the region. The RRF granted GKEPF to study and assess the impact of different interventions against poaching that will inform data-driven strategies for protecting rhinos from poaching.
